a sweet new year must always include my cousin laura’s noddle kugel.
by far one of the best recipes in my family.
enjoy

1ea. 16oz. pkg. of broad egg noodles (can use yolkless noodles)

1 cup ( 2 sticks) of margarine

1 cup sugar

4 eggs, beaten

1 apple, peeled and grated (Macintosh ok)

½ cup of golden raisins

1 tablespoon of orange marmalade (or peach jam)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

ground cinnamon

cook noodles in salted boiling water to package directions; drain noodles.

preheat oven to 375 degrees.
grease a 13″ x 9″ baking dish

In a large bowl, combine drained noodles with all remaining ingredients, except cinnamon, and mix well.

pour into prepared baking dish, smoothing the top out evenly.

sprinkle the top with cinnamon.

bake kugel about 1 hour, or until golden and set. Let cool

i eat well.

A good proportion of this blog will be about food. my taste. dishes. restaurants. recipes.

so what better way to start than by compiling a list of what i consider “the best of what’s around” (BOWA)

The epitomy of fast food: the world must know about RUTTS HUT – clifton, nj.

Known for their Rippers, what the common man might call a hot dog are deliciously (and unfortunately) fried – giving the eater a subtle crunch as they take a bite. Word of advice: eat in - standing up at their truck stop style dining room – because once you leave the establishment, Rippers can deflate (get smaller, because of the oil).

Top this “once every 6 month” meal off with a side of well done rings and a fountain style birch beer and your good to go!

As I Begin, I first and foremost have to give a shout out to my wonderful friend Tracee Kafer – who has introduced me to the world of blogging. A talented designer and probably one of the most positive people I know, Tracee has taught me to open my eyes to all of the little nooks and crannies in life. She has helped me embrace my creative eye and for that I am thankful.

Trace, this one is for you! To Friendship!
